Northwest Human Services

Services: NHS provides residential living options, case/care management, and therapeutic services for individuals with disabilities.

Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity at HUD

Services: Hotline service for individuals to report incidences of housing discrimination.

Consumer Credit Counseling

Services: Educates and assists the general public on the intelligent use of consumer credit; provides professional budget and housing counseling to families and individuals; arranges debt-management programs for financially distressed consumers to liquidate their debts. Making Homes Affordable

Services: National nonprofit organization aiming to prevent home foreclosure and reduce monthly payments for eligible individuals and families

Berwick Salvation Army

Services: Housing, emergency food, shelter, clothing, counseling, help with utilities (when emergency), educational support. Community soup kitchen. This small community fund is available to families in crisis when no other resource is available.

Women's Center

Services: The Women's Center offers services for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Services include emergency shelter, information and referrals, counseling and advocacy

Services: Services for individuals with developmental disabilities including supportive vocational programs, residential programs (including life sharing, group homes, and in-home supports), and adult day services.

Columbia County Human Services

Services: Columbia County Human Services offers energy assistance funds, food pantry, meals on wheels, homemaker/non-medical personal care services, childcare services, homeless assistance program, Veterans affairs.

Community Services Group

Services: Services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnoses including residential services, employment services, adult day programs, outpatient treatment, peer support, and psychiatric rehabilitation. Works to provide affordable homeownership and rental apartment options for older adults, low- and moderate-income families, and people with special housing needs. 

Direct VA Loans

Services: Supports veterans in utilizing their entitlement to veteran and active duty benefits for VA home loans as well as other government-backed mortgage programs.

Homeowners' Emergency Mortage Assistance Program

Services: HEMAP is a loan program assisting in foreclosure prevention and mortgage assistance.

National Runaway Switchboard

Services: Toll-free, nationwide hot-line for runaways and troubled youth. Provides information and referral for shelter, counseling, medical and legal services and transportation back home. The hot-line also provides a personal and confidential message relay service between runaways and their families.
